Elephone ELE, the first smartwatch as Android Wear to be equipped with MediaTek

Elephone presents today its first Android Wear smartwatch as through its record in the GearBest dealer. The opportunity to discover first show of its kind with a MediaTek chip and sold at very low prices.

Rumors, particularly precise about it, ran for several weeks. And the first watch of Elephone under Android Wear has been referenced by the GearBest dealer, at the forefront of Chinese brands. The firm joins the exclusive circle of watch manufacturers in Android Wear, among which are LG, Motorola, Huawei, Asus and Samsung.

Under the name of ELE, the watch displays Elephone cousins ‚Äč‚Äčtechnical characteristics with those of competing watches. It therefore features a LCD screen 1.5-inch 320 x 320 pixels, under which one can not find a Qualcomm chip, as with its competitors, but MediaTek MT2601 SoC. The latter, announced in January, is based on two Cortex-A7 cores and had never been seen in watches sold. The ELE also features a heart rate sensor, and weighs 60 grams. With its 400 mAh battery, it has a capacity similar to its competitors, but ignores the light sensor found on a Moto 360 2. However, it is devoid of the black bar that clutters the screen its rival.

All details on this watch are not yet available, since its formalization is for the time that passed through the dealer GearBest. Thus it is known that it is certified IP67, sealed so that it can connect to WiFi a / b / g / n, but it is not its exact dimensions. It therefore still lack the crucial data that represents the thickness of the watch.

Unless a miracle, it will go through the import to procure this watch Elephone ELE. It will soon be available at the dealer, with whom you can register to be notified of the exact availability, and will be charged just under $ 120. Even with import fees and taxes, it should be among the most affordable watches on the Android Market Wear.
